I am Felipe Flip, a Brazilian skater, musician, rapper, composer, and streamer from São Paulo, Brazil. I'm the son of a Nigerian father and deeply connected to street culture from the outskirts of São Paulo. I work as a cultural agitator, I'm part of the Ademafia skate collective from Rio de Janeiro, and I'm co-founder of Blackchain, a Nouns Storytelling program. My mission is to connect street culture, skateboarding, and music with the Web3 and Nouns ecosystem.
My main athletic activity is skateboarding. I practice and promote skateboarding as both a sport and a cultural movement, particularly focusing on connecting it with music, art, and web3 technologies. You can see me performing a kickflip in this video: Felipe Flip Flipping
I connect skateboarding to Nounish values in multiple ways:
Inclusive Community Building: I actively work to make skateboarding accessible to Black and peripheral communities in Brazil, creating entry points for beginners and welcoming people from all backgrounds.
Positive Externalities: Through my work with NGOs like Social Skate and Instituto Ademafia, I use skateboarding as a tool for social transformation, particularly for underprivileged youth.
Educational Focus: I share skateboarding knowledge freely through my streams and content, teaching skills and techniques to newcomers.
Creative Expression: I combine skateboarding with music (as a rapper and hardcore band vocalist) and web3 technologies to create unique cultural expressions that embody the nounish spirit of creativity and absurdity.
Public Space Care: I promote the proper use and maintenance of skateparks and public spaces, encouraging skaters to leave these spaces better than they found them.
My plan for creating positive impact through skateboarding includes:
Documenting skateboarding sessions in both renowned skateparks and favelas across São Paulo and Brazil, showcasing the diversity of skateboarding communities.
Promoting web3 onboarding by introducing skateboarding communities to blockchain concepts in simple, accessible language during my interactions.
Supporting neurodivergent children through my foundation that uses healthy food and skateboarding as tools for social transformation.
Streaming and creating content that reacts to and promotes other Nounish athletes and the GNARS ecosystem, expanding awareness of Nounish values.
Connecting skateboarding with music and art to create multidisciplinary cultural experiences that reach diverse audiences.
Collaborating with NGOs like Social Skate and Instituto Ademafia to expand the positive impact of skateboarding in underserved communities.
I will document and share my journey through:
Regular social media updates on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitch, showcasing my skateboarding sessions and community interactions.
At least 2 monthly posts on Warpcast in the Nouns or Flows channels, featuring photos, videos, and text updates about my activities.
Live streams reacting to videos from other Nounish athletes and GNARS, discussing techniques and community impact.
Documentation of social initiatives with the NGOs I collaborate with, showing how skateboarding creates positive change.
Music and skateboarding integration through content that combines both of my passions in a way that embodies Nounish values.
Through these efforts, I aim to create bridges between different communities, bringing new users to the ecosystem and demonstrating the positive impact that Web3 projects can have on local communities and urban culture.
