I'm ActualGene, a passionate 2D animator and artist from the Philippines who has been actively creating Nounish art and contributing to the crypto community. I discovered this space through a friend (GEM) during a financially challenging time, and the Nouns community has helped me grow tremendously as an artist while providing funding to continue my creative journey.

Project Overview
I'm creating "Nounish Zodiac Cards" - a collectible deck of physical cards featuring prominent Nouners as models for each zodiac sign. Each card will be 4.5" x 2.5" and celebrate community builders while educating people about their contributions to crypto and the Nounish ecosystem. The cards will come in a custom box with educational materials about how crypto enables artists like me to thrive.
How This Onboards People to Crypto
Each deck will include an information paper sharing my story of how crypto funding helped me as an artist, demonstrating the real-world positive impact of cryptocurrency. Additionally, every card will feature detailed information about the Nouner it depicts, explaining their contributions to both the crypto and Nounish communities. This creates an educational journey where collectors learn about influential community members and discover how crypto enables creators to build meaningful projects.
This project uplifts the crypto community by celebrating and honoring the contributions of prominent Nouners, giving them recognition through beautiful art. It also demonstrates to the broader public how crypto can support artists and creators, especially those from developing countries like the Philippines. My previous mural work already sparked conversations with local children and friends about what noggles represent, allowing me to educate them about crypto in an accessible way.
Path to Break-Even
Revenue Model:
- Physical card decks: $60-120 per deck
- Individual cards: $5-10 each
- Patreon for HD PDF versions of completed decks
Cost Structure:
- Cards production: $30 per deck
- Custom box: $20 per deck
- Shipping: $40+ per order
- Labor: $0 (I'll handle all artwork and design)
Break-even Plan:
I need to sell 5+ decks per month to achieve profitability. With a 3-4 month creation timeline, I'll have 2-3 months of active sales within the six-month window. Based on the positive reception of my previous tarot card work (which RobotFishGirl even shared on her Bluesky), I'm confident in reaching 10-15 total deck sales through my Farcaster and Instagram following.
Team
I'll be working solo on this project, handling all artwork, design, customer communication, and fulfillment. I have experience with previous Flows projects including tarot cards and DND murals (both team and solo projects), which I'm particularly proud of completing successfully.
Timeline
Months 1-4: Complete all 12 zodiac card illustrations plus custom box design
Months 4-6: Production, marketing, and sales phase
Ongoing: Regular updates on Farcaster throughout the process
I'll be reaching out to each featured Nouner for permission and offering to send them their own cards. Current confirmed interested Nouners include Pip, RobotFishGirl, MikeGood, Crpdaddy, and Loudman.
Budget
The funding will cover initial production costs, materials, and shipping for the first batch of decks. With higher funding, I would expand beyond zodiac signs to include constellation cards, major arcana, and minor arcana, building a comprehensive universe of Nounish collectible cards.
Supporting Materials
I heard about the Vrbs Accelerator through Rocketman's post on Farcaster. Having worked with his Flows program before, I experienced firsthand how these projects create real-world impact - my public mural sparked conversations with local children and friends about noggles and crypto, giving me the opportunity to educate them about this space I'm passionate about.
