I'm Picopops, a multidisciplinary artist specializing in 2D digital art, pixel art, acrylic painting, and watercolor. I create vibrant characters using a signature palette of pink, purple, and blue to bring energy and personality to every piece.
My Artistic Style
I create a lot of characters in pixel art format, both popular characters adapted into my own style and original characters based on my own ideas. A signature trait of my work is the use of vibrant colors, with a dominant palette of pink, purple, and blue. My collections like "Golden Pioneer" and "VRBS Victorious" showcase this distinctive approach to character creation.
Nounish Integration Plan
I plan to incorporate Nouns or Noggles into my art by blending them with my signature pixel style — vibrant, playful, and full of character. I love creating unique, expressive figures with bold colors like pink, purple, and blue, so I see Noggles not just as an accessory, but as a core design element I can experiment with to tell stories or express moods.
My style is rooted in fun and nostalgia, which I think aligns well with the Nounish spirit of open creativity and experimentation. I often remix popular characters and design originals with a whimsical twist, so adding a Nounish layer to that feels like a natural extension. I'm excited by the idea of contributing something fresh while still staying true to the identity I've built as an artist.
Originality & Authenticity
To show my dedication, I've spent over 950 hours working in Aseprite, my main pixel art software. I also have timelapse videos of my process and workspace files that show how I build my pixel pieces from scratch. Pixel art is more than just a medium for me — it's something I've consistently honed over time, and I'm always pushing myself to explore new ideas while staying true to my vibrant, colorful style.
All my work is completely original with absolutely no AI or automated tools used. I ensure authenticity through my documented creative process, including progress shots, timelapse videos, and layered workspace files that demonstrate every step of creation.
Content Plan
I'll create two polished pixel art pieces each month featuring Nouns characters or community themes, often tied to trending memes, special events, or seasonal moments. I'm excited to create a mini-series where I redesign iconic pop culture characters with Nounish elements, or do interactive 'pixel your idea' sessions where the community gives me prompts to draw live.
Actually, I can commit to creating up to 10 pixel art pieces per month, far exceeding the minimum requirement, showing my dedication to contributing meaningfully to the Nounish art community.
Beyond just creating art, I'm passionate about building connection through creativity.
