Dakimici - Pixel Art for Nouns
About Me
I'm Dakimici, an independent pixel artist who has been creating since 2021. I'm completely self-taught through YouTube and online resources, and I work solo focusing exclusively on pixel art. I previously contributed to the /vrbs community by making various pixel artworks related to their lore and characters, which gave me valuable experience in creating art for decentralized communities.
My Artistic Vision
My pixel art style can add a fun and unique look to the Nouns community. Pixel art is simple but powerful, and I think it fits well with the playful and creative Nounish vibe. I enjoy turning ideas into characters and scenes, and I'd love to show Nouns and Noggles in new and interesting ways.
What excites me most about the Nouns ecosystem is the freedom to be creative and the support for artists to explore new ideas. Based on my experience with /vrbs, I often integrate current issues into my artwork, which naturally keeps both the art and the narrative relevant. I plan to use the same approach with Nouns and Noggles, blending timely themes with pixel style storytelling to create pieces that resonate emotionally and culturally.

Planned Content & Creative Approach
I have several exciting ideas for my first Nouns pieces:

- Mixing Nounish elements with pop culture and retro game vibes
- Creating narrative-driven pieces that blend current themes with Nounish culture
My pixel art style fits well with the playful and bold look of Nouns, and I believe it will bring something fresh to the community.
Commitment & Schedule
I'm committed to creating at least two major pieces each month featuring Nouns or Noggles. Since I recently got married and work a 9-to-5 job on weekdays, my main creation time is during evenings and weekends, especially on Saturdays and Sundays. Despite the time constraints, I'm committed to delivering consistent, high-quality pixel art.
Originality Pledge
I pledge that all my artwork will be completely original and hand-created by me, with absolutely no AI tools used for generation or alteration. As you can see from my WIP shots, I document my creation process pixel-by-pixel, showing the authentic evolution from concept to final piece.
I'm quite comfortable sharing my process and WIPs, having done this before in the /vrbs channel. I really enjoy connecting with the community and learning from feedback. For /nouns and /flows channels, I'm happy to post regular updates on Farcaster and keep the community involved as I create.
If there are suggestions or fun ideas from the community, I'd love to try including them in my work. I'm also open to collaborating with other artists or builders in the Nouns space - it could be fun to mix styles or work on small themed pieces together.
