About Me
I am Naomi Metzger, an 11x British Triple Jump Champion and Commonwealth Games bronze medallist. With a decade of experience in triple jumping, I'm actively pursuing my goals of breaking the British record and winning an Olympic Medal.
Social Handles:
As a member of the athletes commission for British Athletes, I took a proactive role in creating opportunities for younger athletes to gain experience in major championships. My commitment to community building extends to:
- Visiting schools to conduct fitness workouts and deliver motivational talks
- Breaking the stigma around athletic injuries by openly documenting my recovery journey
- Hosting weekly fitness challenges on Farcaster (example)
- Organizing Q&A sessions with elite athletes (example)
- Currently pursuing personal training qualification to better serve the community
Documentation & Content Creation
I'm committed to sharing my journey transparently and creating valuable content for the community:
- Weekly updates on Zora documenting my Olympic journey
- Regular fitness content and community engagement on Farcaster
- Educational content about injury recovery and athletic development
- Behind-the-scenes insights into professional athletics
Future Plans
My vision extends beyond personal athletic achievements:
- Continue documenting my journey to the LA Olympics onchain
- Expand fitness challenges and elite athlete Q&As on Farcaster
- Leverage my personal training qualification to provide more structured guidance
- Create more educational content about triple jump and athletics
- Foster a supportive community for athletes at all levels
Through this grant, I aim to continue bridging the gap between traditional athletics and web3 while creating positive impact in both spaces.
