About Me
I'm Pedro Dobler, an environmental activist in Rio de Janeiro, bringing a creative approach to beach and waterway cleaning by combining environmental action with an engaging Spider-Man theme. You can find my work at:
Beach Location Details
Our primary focus is the Canal do Marapendi, a crucial waterway in Rio de Janeiro that connects to the ocean. This area requires consistent attention due to its high accumulation of waste.
Current Beach Condition
Our work extends throughout the Canal do Marapendi and surrounding areas. The region faces significant challenges with waste accumulation, particularly where the canal connects to the ocean.
Waste Management Plan
We have implemented a comprehensive waste management system:
- Collection: Regular cleanup operations in the waterways
- Sorting: Community members help sort collected materials for recycling
- Disposal: Partnership with COMLURB for proper processing of sorted materials
Our initiative, M.A.E.N.G. (Meio Ambiente Ecologia Na Gigoia), conducts monthly cleanup operations. We collaborate with local boat operators and community members, creating a network of environmental stewards. The Spider-Man costume serves as an attention-grabbing element that helps raise awareness and engage more people in our cause.
