I'm Acutek, a DJ and producer based in Scotland, focused on house and techno music. I've been actively building the electronic music scene in my local area by organizing regular events.

Musical Style

I specialize in house and techno music, creating immersive dance experiences. My events focus on electronic music that gets people moving and creates a proper club atmosphere.

Public Performance Plan

I currently run events in the function room of a local hotel, transforming it into a vibrant nightclub space. With no dedicated nightclubs in the area, I've taken the initiative to build the scene from scratch. This involves:

• Complete setup and breakdown of sound and lighting equipment for each event
• Creating an immersive atmosphere in a versatile space
• Maintaining affordable entry at £8 per person
• Hosting 60-100 attendees per event (venue capacity: 100)

Nounish Integration

I plan to incorporate Nouns culture through:

• Custom Noggles sign (70cm wide x 30cm high, free-standing) - mockups already created and ready to order
• Gobo lights projecting Noggles imagery onto walls and dance floor
• Incorporating these visual elements into event promotion and documentation
• Noggles imagery featured on event flyers (as already implemented in recent promotions)

Experience & Past Performances

I've been organizing quarterly events under the FLICK brand, successfully building a consistent following. The December 2024 event (pictured) showcases our current setup and atmosphere.

Future Plans

With this grant, I aim to:

1. Invest in a dedicated sound system to reduce reliance on rental equipment
2. Enhance visual production with improved lighting and Nouns-themed elements
3. Bring in guest artists including:
   • Hypnotic Groove (SoundCloud curator)
   • Artists from Soma Records (historic Scottish techno label known for early Daft Punk releases)

While reducing frequency to two major events in the coming year, each event will be bigger and better with increased production value and guest performers.

Communication Commitment

I understand the importance of regular updates and community engagement. I commit to:

• Bi-weekly updates on Farcaster about planning progress
• Immediate updates when significant milestones are reached (booking confirmations, equipment purchases, etc.)
• Comprehensive post-event reports with photos, attendance figures, and community feedback
• Transparent communication about any challenges or changes to plans
