About Me
My name is Favour Enebeli, and cooking has always been more than just a skill for me, it is my passion and a way for me to connect with people. My journey with food started while I was still in school, where I turned my love for cooking into a business. Balancing my studies with running my food business was challenging, but my passion kept me going. After graduating and serving, I decided to fully commit to growing my business, and since then, I have been working hard to build something sustainable.
Beyond business, I have always believed that food is a powerful way to give back. I have had the opportunity to collaborate with a friend on two occasions to cook and share meals with the less privileged. Those experiences were incredibly fulfilling and reinforced my desire to make a long-term impact in my community. I have a deep commitment to using my culinary skills for social good, and my ultimate dream is to establish my own NGO dedicated to feeding the homeless and supporting food-insecure individuals.

I plan to prepare and distribute meals to 100 people once every month, focusing on orphanages and homeless individuals in Lugbe, Abuja. I will prepare popular and nutritious dishes like jollof rice and fried rice that are widely enjoyed and filling.
For the orphanages, I already have connections through my church which regularly distributes items to a local orphanage. For the homeless population, I will focus on known locations in Lugbe where homeless individuals gather, such as the carwash area and federal housing where people can often be found sitting by the roadside.
Expected Impact
By providing regular, nutritious meals, I aim to:
- Reduce hunger among vulnerable populations in my community
- Provide comfort and dignity through quality food
- Create moments of joy and connection during meal distribution
- Build relationships with the orphanages and homeless individuals to better understand their needs
- Lay the groundwork for my long-term vision of establishing an NGO focused on food security
My main nutritional consideration is ensuring the food is well-balanced and enjoyable for everyone. Since I don't know the specific dietary needs of each person, I will keep the pepper level mild to avoid any discomfort or allergies. The meals will be filling, easy to digest, and prepared in a hygienic way to ensure safety.
Previous Experience
I have collaborated with a friend on two occasions to cook and share meals with less privileged individuals in my community. These experiences were deeply fulfilling and showed me the impact that a simple meal can have on someone's day and outlook.
As a professional chef running Favveyy's Kitchen, I have the culinary skills and experience needed to prepare large quantities of food efficiently and deliciously. My background in philosophy has also given me a deeper understanding of human dignity and the importance of giving back to society.
Implementation Plan
Frequency: Monthly meal distribution to 100 people
Locations:
- Local orphanage connected through my church
- Areas in Lugbe where homeless individuals gather (carwash area and federal housing)
Team:
- Myself as the lead chef
- Two workers from my kitchen
- Friends who have volunteered to assist with cooking and distribution
Resources:
- I already have the necessary cooking equipment
- Will hire a car to transport food safely to distribution locations
- Packaging materials for food distribution
Documentation:
I will document each meal preparation and distribution through photos and videos, and gather feedback from beneficiaries to measure impact and improve future distributions.
Food is not just nourishment; it is comfort, dignity, and hope. I believe that no one should have to go hungry, and with the right support, I can play a role in making that belief a reality for many in my community.
