Artistic Background

• Primary mediums I work in: Digital illustration using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Fresco, with occasional traditional media like crayons and papercraft
• My artistic style: Colorful, quirky cartoon style with clean lines and vibrant colors, as well as clean and simple abstract minimalist style

Since 2015, I've been immersed in the world of graphic design, starting with experience at an advertising consultant. After that, I moved into the realm of fine arts and focused on art education for children in Jakarta, Indonesia. This experience fostered a deep interest in creating content and illustrations that are relevant and engaging for children.

Nounish Vision

• How I plan to incorporate Nouns/Noggles: I will continue developing my "Beyond the Nouns" children's storybook series, where characters with Noggles explore different themes and adventures. Each book will translate Nouns' concepts and spirit into simple, entertaining, and easy-to-understand language for children.
• Why my style fits the Nouns community: My colorful, playful style appeals to children while maintaining the iconic Nouns aesthetic. The vibrant colors and quirky characters align perfectly with the fun, absurd nature of Nouns, making complex concepts accessible to young audiences.

Originality Statement

• My creative process is completely original and human-made
• I do not use AI tools in any part of my process
• My process for ensuring authenticity: I begin each illustration with hand-drawn sketches on paper or directly on my digital tablet using Adobe Fresco. Once the initial sketch is complete, I scan it into Adobe Photoshop, where I perform coloring, detail adjustments, and final touches manually. For transparency, I document my entire creative process, from initial sketches to final illustrations, including screenshots, short videos, and notes on my design choices.

Content Creation Plan

• Planned creation frequency: One children's storybook per month (10-12 pages with illustrations on every page)

• Content ideas:

  • Monthly children's storybooks with different titles and themes
  • Regular release of visual assets from the books as NFTs on Zora
  • Creation of a central database website using Notion
  • Regular updates (at least twice weekly) on social media
  • Local community engagement with children in Jakarta

• Potential collaboration ideas:

  • Working with musicians to create theme songs for the books
  • Collaborating with animators to bring illustrations to life
  • Partnering with children's authors for more complex stories
  • Exploring adaptations into educational games

If I receive this grant, I will provide updates at least twice a week through Warpcast, Twitter, and Instagram. I plan to create new social media accounts specifically dedicated to the "Beyond the Nouns" project. These updates will include behind-the-scenes glimpses of the book creation process, illustration teasers, creative content, and project promotion.

Furthermore, if this project grows, I would like to hold direct activations with children in my local neighborhood. These activations aim to make the book more beneficial and have a positive impact on the community. Each activity will be carefully documented and shared online.
