About Me
I'm Nick, a volunteer at the Limpeza de Praias project (also a Flows grant). I clean beaches, rivers, and lagoons while documenting our work. I'm also developing a native seedling nursery using bioconstruction techniques at this same project.
I have a special connection with animals (3 cats, 1 dog) and previously ran a dog hotel from home. Friends call me the "dog whisperer" for my natural bond with animals.

I'm created FOUNS - Nouns-shaped feeders for stray dogs - unique cement structures with recycled plastic recovered from the oceans and polystyrene in the mix, with one side for food, one for water. Initially placing 5 feeders in strategic locations, looking forward to expand to 30 FOUNS across the city.
Three feeder models:
- Personally maintained (4 days/week)
- "Dogfather/Dogmother" maintained by community volunteers
- Public interaction points in high-traffic areas (maintened by me at begginin)
Each feeder features a QR code linking to our Instagram with: (IN TEST)
- Request form for your own feeder
- Project supporters & Nouns community info
- Web3 educational content
- Support instructions & dogparent feedback
Expected Impact
- 500gr ~ 1kg of plastic recovered from nature per feeder
- Each feeder serves 1-10 dogs
- Using ~2kg food per feeder per refill
- ~160kg dog food distributed monthly
- Beyond feeding: raising awareness about stray animals and recycling
- Use of recovered plastic and polystyrene from the sea in the cement mixes (Limpeza de Praias project)
- Community interest already high, suggesting rapid adoption
Implementation Plan

Alignment with Nounish Values
This project embodies nounish values through:

- Embracing the playful absurdity of Nouns aesthetics
- Introducing new people to Nouns and Web3
- Making community service fun and engaging
Conclusion
Stray Strong is more than feeding dogs—it's creating a movement that transforms how communities care for street animals. Each feeder serves as both a lifeline for hungry animals and an educational touchpoint, bridging Web3 innovation with real-world impact.
I'm committed to building a sustainable ecosystem of care that can be replicated across communities, demonstrating how creative solutions and engagement can address real needs while inspiring others to join the movement.
