I grew up from a poor background so I know what it's like to be in need of help and not be able to get it. This personal experience has motivated me to help as many people as I can with the resources available to me.

Planned Community Service Activities

The main objective for Uplift Africa is to empower the younger generation of the country, taking it one community at a time. My planned activities include:

1. Educational Support: Providing writing materials (notebooks, pens), sandals, and school bags to students in public secondary schools. I also plan to teach students about web3 and encourage them to stay in school and complete their education.

2. Small Business Empowerment: Supporting small-scale businesses which are crucial for the middle and low-income class in Nigeria.

3. Orphanage Support: Continuing to provide assistance to orphanages in my community.

4. Additional Support Initiatives: Visiting juvenile centers, providing food for homeless kids, and other community support activities.

Expected Impact

With this grant, I aim to reach 3 schools with approximately 4000 students, providing them with essential educational supplies. Beyond the material support, I hope to inspire these young people to continue their education and explore opportunities in web3 and other emerging fields.

For small businesses, the support will help strengthen local economies and create sustainable livelihoods for families.

Overall, the project seeks to create positive change in communities that lack basic resources and opportunities.

Previous Experience

I've been actively involved in community service for the past 7 days, working independently to help those in need. My recent activities include:

• Helping an elderly man pay his daughter's hospital bills
• Donating to an orphanage
• Distributing free fruits to those who were fasting

Implementation Plan

I will implement these activities in Nigeria, where I currently live. The plan includes:

• Educational Support: Working with 3 identified public schools to distribute educational materials and conduct motivational sessions
• Small Business Support: Identifying and supporting local entrepreneurs with resources they need to grow their businesses
• Continued Community Outreach: Regular visits to orphanages and support for other vulnerable groups

I will work independently but may collaborate with local school administrators to ensure effective distribution of resources. The grant will significantly expand my current efforts, allowing me to reach more people and make a greater impact in my community.
