Planned Community Service Activities

I plan to expand my current work supporting orphans, students, and widows in the Kawagumba Village community through several key activities:

  1. Supporting school fees for orphaned students The children in these images are some of the orphans I'm currently supporting with the limited funds I have:

    Orphaned students in school uniforms

    More orphaned children I support

  2. Building houses for widows We are already working on constructing and improving housing:

    Housing construction work

    Community members working on housing

  3. Creating opportunities for orphans Providing food, shelter, and education:

    Children receiving meals

Expected Impact

Through these activities, I hope to help over 25,000 people in our community by:

  • Ensuring orphaned children can attend school by covering their school fees
  • Providing safe and secure housing for widows
  • Creating job opportunities through our farming projects
  • Improving food security for vulnerable community members
  • Building a more resilient and supportive community

Previous Experience

I have been running the Kawagumba Village Community Farming project, where I grow cash crops like tomatoes and watermelon. The income from these crops helps me support the orphans and widows in our community.

I currently support several orphaned students with school fees, provide meals, and have begun building and improving housing for those in need:

Implementation Plan

My activities follow the cycle of my crops, with tomatoes and watermelon taking about 2.5 months from planting to harvest. The income from these harvests funds my community work.

To expand my impact, I need:

  1. Regular funding for school fees
    • This is my most urgent need, requiring approximately $18,000-$20,000
  2. Transportation
    • A motorcycle to reach orphans in different homes, as I currently lack any means of transport
  3. Building materials
    • For constructing and improving housing for widows
  4. Farming supplies
    • To increase crop yields and create more sustainable funding

I plan to carry out activities every 2-3 months, aligned with my crop harvests, focusing on:

  • Paying school fees at the beginning of each term
  • Ongoing housing construction projects
  • Regular food distribution to those in need

While I don't currently partner with other organizations, I work closely with community members to maximize our impact.
