Mission

Elevate and fund dedicated shredders who embody the Gnars ethos, positively impact local skateparks, waves, streets, and trails, and amplify Gnars visibility and its treasure.

Overview & Goals

The Gnars Shredders Flow supports shredders who are skilled performers, community leaders, and authentic ambassadors. The goal is to empower these shredders to create high-quality, engaging content, improve their local action sports scenes, and visibly represent Gnars DAO, turning their passion into impactful, funded action.

Funding Structure

• Baseline Funding: Shredders receive at least $80 USDC per month, supporting training, content creation, gear, travel, and community projects.
• Performance Bonuses: Additional rewards may be granted for exceptional content, significant community impact, or notable Gnars representation.

Application Process

Submit an application including:

1. Shredder Information:

   • Name, Farcaster handle, key social media links (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Skatehive).
   • Primary activity, years of experience, home spots, sponsors (if any).

2. Portfolio:

   • Recent videos/photos showcasing skills.
   • Previous community involvement or relevant content.

3. Local Scene Plan:

   • Specific plans for increasing awareness of our open source brand.
   • Ideas to generate legacy with Gnars.

4. Content Strategy:

   • Strategy to generate revenue for Gnars with content (at least 20% for Gnars)

   • Planned posting strategy and platforms.
   • Integration strategy for Gnars branding and ethos.

5. Acknowledgment:

   • Confirm understanding and agreement with ongoing requirements.

Ongoing Requirements

To retain funding, consistently deliver:

• Monthly Activities: At least four documented sessions or community engagements per month (e.g., filming sessions, local meetups, epic photos, spot improvements).
• High-Quality Content: Regularly produce well-edited, marketable videos and images suitable for broad distribution with Gnars branding
• Visible Gnars Representation: Clearly feature Gnars branding in your content and public sessions (apparel, stickers, mentions).

Content & Documentation Standards (Shared on Farcaster in /gnars)

For each monthly activity:

• Visual Content: High-quality videos/photos showcasing action and community involvement.
• Activity Descriptions: Include dates, locations, brief activity summaries, number of participants if applicable.
• Gnars Representation: Highlight Gnars branding clearly in visuals or captions.
• Scene Impact: Detail community-building or spot improvement efforts.
• Links: Direct links to full videos or extended content on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok.
• Token: Droposals or any other split revenue token.

Reasons for Funding Removal

Funding may be paused or revoked if:

• Falling short of monthly requirements without valid reasons.
• Low-quality, off-brand, or misleading content.
• Lack of positive community impact.
• Misconduct, unsafe practices, or actions damaging to Gnars’ reputation.
• Misuse of funds or prolonged inactivity.
• User is under approved marketing type proposal
• Plagiarism or caught in action of bad faith

Tips for Successful Shredders

• Storytelling: Showcase compelling journeys and local narratives.
• Collaboration: Engage with other Gnars members and local community members.
• Innovation: Experiment with new content formats and creative community projects.
• Proactivity: Create opportunities rather than waiting for them.
• Eyes on the future: Experiment new web3 tools in behalf of Gnars

Curator Guidelines

• Prioritize shredders demonstrating consistent high-quality output, genuine Gnars representation, and significant local impact.
• Verify content authenticity, quality, and community contribution.
• Provide constructive feedback to help shredders grow.
• Manage budget sustainably, ensuring fair and impactful distribution.
• Don't vote just because someone asked you too
