About Me
We are Vida Verde, a sustainable life project established in 2020. Our team consists of 3 people including an audiovisual producer with experience in brand creation and production who will serve as our CEO. We have been leading Vida Verde in real-world projects, demonstrating great execution capacity. We have received funding from both Flows and other platforms like Giveth, and our management and expansion developments resonate throughout web3.

Project Overview
Choco Vrbs is a chocolate manufacturing company made with Venezuelan cacao. Venezuelan cacao is one of the richest and most valued in the world, used by many brands that buy cacao from our country to make the finest chocolates. Choco Vrbs would be the first chocolate brand manufactured with origin cacao and sustainable techniques. In this first phase we will be buying cacao, but we already have our first cacao seedlings germinated to be planted in the coming months, which will allow us to have self-supply of the main ingredient for manufacturing Choco Vrbs bars.

How This Onboards People to Crypto
We will incorporate those who buy our chocolate bars through a QR code that will send them to a website where we will explain what Vrbs is. After understanding basic notions about blockchain, they will be left with a token they can claim as a brand collectible. We will also hold IRL events where we will give talks about the brand and how it works.

The QR code will be designed in the shape of the Vrbs duck and will be printed on the Choco Vrbs bar wrapper. For the tokens, we plan to use Manifold to create the NFTs that will be claimed.

We will create local jobs in our community. Our Vida Verde team currently consists of 3 people from our locality who will be working until we get the brand to function. As we generate products, we will be able to hire people from our community both for manufacturing as well as to attend to the planting of our cacao plants.

This project will empower our community by making it resilient to sudden economic changes while providing a better lifestyle. We will work directly with Venezuelan cacao producers, supporting the local agricultural economy.

Path to Break-Even
We plan to hold coffee party events and web3 conversations where we plan to put our products up for sale. We can also offer chocolate bars in some commercial stores to start positioning the product.
Cost Structure (for 50 bars initially, scaling to 150-500 bars):
- Variable costs per bar: $2.10 (cacao, sugar, packaging, direct labor, energy)
- Fixed monthly costs: $1,500 (workshop rental, administrative salary, marketing, transport, licenses)
- Current cost per bar: $30.10 (will decrease significantly with scale)
- Target production: 150-500 bars monthly to achieve break-even
The idea is to scale to reduce fixed costs and achieve long-term sustainability.
Team
Our team consists of 3 people from Vida Verde:
- An audiovisual producer with experience in brand creation and production (CEO)
- Experienced project leaders with proven track record in Vida Verde
- Strong commitment to Vrbs demonstrated by impeccable performance within Flows
We are not currently looking for co-founders as our team is sufficient for the initial phase.

Timeline
Months 1-2: Purchase tools and machinery, finalize packaging design, acquire raw materials
Months 3-4: Begin production of first 50-150 bars, launch website integration, create QR codes and NFT system
Months 5-6: Scale to 150-500 bars monthly, establish commercial partnerships, achieve break-even
We are currently in the planning phase but have the knowledge of how to make them. If we obtain income from the accelerator, we could have a sample in a few days.
Budget
We plan to use the funding for:
- Purchase of tools and machinery for chocolate manufacturing
- Payment for final packaging design
- Purchase of raw materials (Venezuelan cacao, sugar, other ingredients)
- Product promotion and marketing
- Website development for crypto onboarding experience
If we had 10x more funding, we could create more jobs in our community, increase productivity, and achieve faster and broader expansion of the Choco Vrbs brand - imagine Choco Vrbs bars at ETH Denver!
Additional Information
How did you hear about this accelerator?
I learned about it through the great outreach work of rocketman, who has worked tirelessly for our builder community. I was convinced by rocketman's optimism and desire to work, who despite negative circumstances has continued working hard without stopping. We are going to grow!
Origin of the idea:
We were inspired by Vrbs Coffee. When we saw the brand, we immediately imagined another product - in this case, chocolate bars. We were also inspired by rocketman's best intentions and ideas in guiding other builders to think about new products based on the Vrbs brand.
Project timeline: We have been working on this Choco Vrbs idea for approximately 3 months, since rocketman announced the accelerator launch.
Best-case outcome: The best result would be to make possible the sale and commercialization of Vrbs bars with funds obtained onchain - it would be the best use case that no one has ever imagined. Together with Vrbs, we will make this possible. The maximum impact is empowering our community by making it resilient to sudden economic changes while providing a better lifestyle.
