Project Overview
Project Title: Platonautas - Staking for Social Impact and Web3 Onboarding
What does your project do?: Platonautas is a dApp that allows people to stake cryptocurrencies where 20% of earnings go to the staker and 80% is allocated to support educational programs for children and youth. Beneficiaries must complete milestones in education, social services, or Web3 onboarding goals using tracking systems like Talent Protocol, though we're open to exploring other solutions including Flows-like experiences for beneficiary implementation. They can redeem their points for school supplies, movie tickets, recreation, or sports through recognized community validator organizations.

Video Introduction: Videos available showing development and team working
Mission statement: Connect the crypto world with real social impact, creating a bridge between those seeking profitability and those needing support, while educating the next generation in Web3 and giving them tools to transform their communities.

Problem & Solution
What problem are you solving?: There's a disconnect between the crypto world (where people have capital seeking profitability) and communities that need support for education and development. At the same time, there's a huge barrier for children and youth from vulnerable communities to access Web3 and technology education.
How do people currently solve this problem?: Currently traditional donations aren't sustainable, educational programs depend on sporadic grants, and Web3 onboarding is complex and disconnected from tangible benefits. "Crypto bros" who want social impact don't have clear and transparent mechanisms to achieve it.
Revenue & Business Model
How will you make money?: We charge fees on staking transactions. In the future we'll implement more services once communities and organizations are onboarded, generating more resources through fees. We also plan to involve the commercial sector.
What will you sell?: Staking services with social impact, Web3 onboarding tools, and eventually additional services for organizations and the commercial sector.
Do you currently have revenue?: Not yet - we're in MVP development phase. We expect to generate first revenue once we launch complete staking functionality.
Progress & Execution
How far along are you?: We have an MVP deployed on mainnet that won the ETH Ciudad de México hackathon. We're fine-tuning technical details so staking can begin. In conversations with Astar and Soneium to use initially, then expand to more chains.
Are people already using your product?: The MVP is available but doesn't yet have complete staking functionality. We have a target population of 220-230 identified beneficiaries through Platohedro's projects (Matinée with 160 children, Ideatorio with 40 adolescents, and Jauqer esCool with 20-30 youth).
What's your timeline to launch/completion?: With funding, we estimate 1.5 months to have the app fully functional with operational staking.
How long have you been working on this?: We've been working on this since the hackathon, and as a team we have prior experience - Platohedro has been working since 2007 on projects that unite art, technology and social transformation, and since 2020 in Web3.

What's a non-obvious detail about your project?: We use already established cultural and social organizations as validators of youth achievements. This creates real trust in communities because we're not the ones validating - it's organizations that already have local recognition. Also, while we initially considered Talent Protocol for milestone tracking, we're open to exploring different solutions including Flows-like experiences to create a verifiable history of personal growth that youth can carry with them.

Founder Background
Why are you uniquely qualified for this?: I'm co-founder of Platohedro since 2007, with training in industrial engineering, cultural management and art. I have experience in design, management and project development, work team coordination. I'm deeply in love with social transformations and collaborative work. My experience allows me to have contact with many organizations and people from Medellín, Colombia and the world. Since 2007 we've been interested in free software and hacktivism, privacy and freedom, human rights defense.
How did you come up with this idea?: It emerges from 20 years of watching children and youth grow at Platohedro, witnessing how they become seeds of transformation in their communities. When entering Web3 in 2020, I saw the opportunity to connect crypto capital with the real social impact we know how to generate.
Past achievement: My greatest achievement is seeing those children and youth who came to Platohedro and who today are people who have grown, who have filled themselves with values and tools to grow as individuals and seeds of transformation in their communities, families, neighborhoods and city. Platohedro is my project that was born from love and expanded to many people.

Funding & Growth
How will you use the funding?: divided between completing onboarding and executing an impactful marketing plan to attract stakers from Nouns, Flows, Vrbs, Astar and Soneium communities.
If you had 10x more funding, what would change?: We could immediately expand to the 40+ organizations of Plataforma Puente, develop more app functionalities, create a more robust mentorship program, and scale to other cities in Colombia and Latin America.
Best-case outcome: Turn Platonautas into the standard for connecting crypto capital with verifiable social impact, onboard thousands of youth to Web3 meaningfully, and create a globally replicable model that demonstrates public goods can be economically sustainable.
Additional Information
How did you hear about this accelerator?: I learned about Vrbs through Nouns Amigos, then on Farcaster I discovered Flows, and I always get to everything through Rocketman (@rocketman) who is the true ecosystem connector.
